Harvey L. Gould received his A.B. degree as a 1966 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley; and his J.D. degree as a 1969 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law. Prior to entering private practice he clerked for a Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court for two years. He began his private practice as an associate in the trial department of a large San Francisco law firm. He then joined Leland, Parachini (formerly Cerf, Robinson & Leland) in 1972. Mr. Gould has vast trial experience. He has tried well over one hundred jury and court cases and has mediated and arbitrated many hundreds more. His range of experience includes banking, business/ commercial, construction defects, contract disputes, employment, estate disputes, insurance claims, partnership disputes, personal injury, professional liability, property damage and real estate. He also has served as business counsel to a number of businesses in a wide variety of different industries and in many complex matters. He is a former Chair of the firm's Litigation Department; a former member of the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association; and he is certified in the theories and practices of mediation after completing a course by a member of the California Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He is now restricting his practice to mediation and arbitration services as a member of the firm's Alternative Dispute Resolution Department.
