Claudia J. Castillo practices in the areas of labor and employment, real estate law and general business transactions. She counsels LPS clients in a range of employment related matters including drafting and implementing employee manuals and compensation agreements and investigating and successfully resolving EEOC and FEHA claims of wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment based on race, age, sex and disability. Claudia also provides onsite employee training relating to harassment and discrimination in both English and Spanish and handles wage and hour claims.
In her real estate practice, Claudia represents our clients with negotiating and drafting commercial leases and purchase and sale agreements, commercial unlawful detainer actions, easement and boundary disputes and in due diligence matters. She also provides general business law services in the areas of intellectual property, business formation and dissolution and general contract drafting and negotiation.
Claudia also has a background in business litigation which provides her with a "full picture" understanding of the issues facing our clients with a goal of preventing future litigation. Claudia received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where she completed a double major in English and Spanish Literature. She received her J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is a member of the San Francisco Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the California Minority Counsel Program and the San Francisco Bar Association.
Claudia volunteers with the Volunteer Legal Services Program, a non-profit organization which provides assistance to low-income, indigent and homeless clients in a wide variety of areas of civil law.. She is also an avid long distance runner and regularly participates in marathons and half marathons.
