Molly Jacobson-Greany practices in the areas of estate planning and business law. As an estate planner, Molly helps clients plan for the future in a tax-efficient manner by preparing wills, inter vivos trusts, and powers of attorney. She is particularly sensitive to the needs of couples with young children. Molly also assists clients with the administration of trusts and estates, including the litigation of such matters when necessary.
Additionally, Molly provides advice to small and family-owned businesses, as well as to business executives. She has considerable experience in advising closely held corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and sole proprietorships. Molly assists in forming such businesses and advises them on an ongoing basis. As part of this practice, among other things, Molly drafts and reviews contracts, assists companies and individuals in lending and borrowing money, prepares minutes of annual meetings for corporations, provides ongoing employment advice, and assists businesses when interacting with government agencies.
In the past, Molly practiced extensively in the area of civil litigation, at both the trial and appellate levels. This experience serves her well in her current transactional practice. She has served "of counsel" to the law firm of Cohen & Jacobson, and she was employed as a full-time faculty member of the University of San Francisco School of Law for a number of years. Before entering private practice, Molly worked for the Honorable A. James Robertson II of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Molly received her B.A. from Gonzaga University's Honors Program (1993) and earned her J.D. at University of California Hastings College of Law (1996). In law school, Molly served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Communications and Entertainment Law Journal and as a member of the Moot Court Board.
