David is a partner in Leland, Parachini. David’s practice focuses on litigation matters, as well as day-to-day business counseling for long-time clients for whom he acts as general counsel. He has considerable experience litigating real estate disputes through trial and on appeal. He has litigated contractor payment claims, construction defect claims, nondisclosure claims, boundary disputes, easement disputes, commercial commission disputes, partition and dissolution actions, specific performance actions, and partnership disputes involving real estate assets. He has represented brokers, owners, landlords, and tenants in a wide variety of commercial and residential contexts. In addition to his real estate work, David also has substantial experience with general business litigation matters as well as prosecuting and defending intellectual property disputes. David also handles trust litigation and has been appointed as Special Master in complex trust litigation by the San Francisco Superior Court.
He received his B.S. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1983, and in 1990 received his J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was a member of the law review. David joined Leland in 2011 and is part of the firm’s litigation group. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar’s Real Property Law and Litigation sections, and the Bar Association of San Francisco. He is admitted to practice in the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
