Paul A. Weiss is a Partner Emeritus who practiced in the areas of estate planning and administration, real estate and business transactions, and related tax matters. He emphasized planning and problem resolution that is sensitive to both the personal and financial goals of his clients. He has substantial experience in trust preparation, post-mortem administration, commercial leases, sales and exchanges of real estate, transfers of business interests, lending transactions, and other corporate and partnership matters.
For the 15 years immediately prior to joining the firm, Paul was a partner in a two-lawyer firm in San Francisco’s Financial District. He received his undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley in 1980, and graduated in 1985 from Hastings College, University of California, where he was Editor-In-Chief of Comm/Ent Law Journal.
Paul has held many volunteer leadership positions in the Jewish community, including four years as synagogue vice president, 10 years as endowment Trustee, and chair of the East Bay Jewish Community Foundation/Federation Grants Committee. He is also an avid guitar player and songwriter, and has appeared on three professionally produced CDs.
