The strength of our department lies in the fact that we offer quality, experience and responsiveness, in a "one-stop" firm setting, but without a big firm fee structure.

Our focus is on startups and early stage companies that need to be positioned for fundraising. We cover the general range of issues associated with corporate formation, capitalization and early stage financing (common, preferred, convertible securities).

Our approach requires that we work closely with entrepreneurs to first understand the aspects of each business, in order to then deliver high quality, personalized and practical advice.

Because we operate within a firm, we are able to leverage the resources of our other departments, and give our corporate clients full service representation. Specifically, we are able to provide to our corporate clients access to our intellectual property, tax, employment law and real estate lawyers.

Our clients include both local and foreign entrepreneurs, who have come to us to start companies in the Bay Area. Over the years, a number of our clients have had successful exits via M&A, and some have gone public, both in the U.S. and in Europe. A majority of the serial entrepreneurs that we represent stay with us over time.
