Contact
Chris serves as senior counsel in the Family Law, Litigation, Business, and Estate Planning Groups. A civil litigator by trade and background, Chris provides his clients with insights gained through litigation and trial.
In his family law practice, Chris focuses on child custody and visitation, establishment and modification of child and spousal support orders, and the identification and resolution of property division issues.
In his business and estate planning practice, Chris’ perspective, particularly in proactive risk management, is shaped by his experience litigating these issues before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and tribunals.
As the paraphrased adage goes, an ounce of legal prevention is worth a pound of litigative cure. However, should litigation become unavoidable, Chris’ strategic approach and prudent stewardship will facilitate his clients’ pursuit of an efficient and favorable resolution by settlement, motion, or trial.
Chris earned his Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Chinese, with a minor in Economics, from Emory University in 2003. He then graduated from the Pepperdine University School of Law, where he served as the Lead Articles Editor of the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Law Journal. He also earned a Certificate in Dispute resolution from the Straus Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Chris clerked for the Honorable Ronald Ibarra, Chief Judge of the 3rd Circuit Court in Hawaii. Before joining the Firm, Chris was a partner at Carey & Carey in Palo Alto, California.
